Marilyn Butler Regional

The Marilyn Butler Regional Qualifier hosted by Bellarmine University will take place February 19 through the 21st at the Jefferson County Hall of Justice in Louisville, KY. One of the American Mock Trial Association's 23 Regional Qualifying Events, the Marilyn Butler Regional qualifies winning teams to the AMTA Opening Round Championship Site in Hamilton, Ohio.
 
Marilyn “Meme” Butler, the namesake of this AMTA Regional Qualifier, was one of the original “mock trial moms.” Her husband, Judge Bruce Butler, founded and coached one of Kentucky’s most successful high school mock trial programs. Her son Jason was captain of 3 Bellarmine teams finishing in the top ten including the 1999 National Championship team and is now an attorney coach for Bellarmine. Meme was an accomplished professional and artist in her own right and spent countless hours traveling to tournaments, supporting the activity, and caring for students. She is so sorely missed.

Round 2 – Judges Meeting at 9:00 AM Saturday the 20th at the Hall of Justice 3rd Floor.
 
Round 3 – Judges Meeting at 1:30 PM Saturday the 20th at the Hall of Justice 3rd Floor.
 
Round 4 – Judges Meeting at 8:30 AM Saturday the 21st at the Hall of Justice 3rd Floor
