Information on CLE and Opportunity to Judge Regional Qualifying Tournament on February 15-17
A unique opportunity to earn CLE credit and observe the next generation of future lawyers is fast approaching. In connection with the Regional Qualifying Mock Trial Tournament hosted by Bellarmine University at the Hall of Justice on February 15-17, there will be up to six hours of CLE credit available.
The official CLE program, sponsored by Stoll Keenon Ogden and hosted by the LBA, will take place on Friday, February 15, from 1:00 to 5:00 at the LBA. Attendees will earn two ethics credits and two regular CLE credits.
In addition, attendees have an opportunity to earn two CLE credits for public service by volunteering to judge competition at the Regional Qualifying Tournament in the Hall of Justice. Over 20 teams from five states will be in attendance, all vying for a bid to the prestigious National Championship tournament.
Because the Regional Qualifying Mock Trial Tournament is spread over three days, there is an opportunity to select the trial -- Friday evening, Saturday morning or afternoon, or Sunday morning -- that best fits your schedule. If you are feeling especially charitable, you may judge multiple trials, though additional sessions do not add to the total CLE credit.
The fee for the CLE presentation on Friday, February 15, is $75.00. Proceeds will help support the LBA Summer Law Institute and Bellarmine University's Mock Trial Program. All appropriate forms will be available on-site and will be submitted to the KBA by the hosts of the CLE and Tournament.
To register for the CLE or to volunteer to judge, please complete the form attached below. Payment of the fee may be made at any point in advance of the program or Tournament.
