"I did not follow the typical career path of a mock trial alumnus, since I went to graduate rather than law school, but the critical thinking and public speaking skill I developed while participating in mock trial continue to serve me just as well. They have made me more thorough in my present research, more competent as a teacher, and more confident when presenting my work at conferences. Also, the basic familiarity with legal discourse I gained from mock trial has turned me into a better, more informed citizen, and of course, I still hold many fond memories of all the fun I had with my teammates."
