"It’s difficult to fully describe the impact that mock trial has had on my life – in so many ways it has been my life. My father coached my high school team and my mother was the prototypical mock trial mom – yes they’re out there. Though I didn’t fully appreciate it then, I met my second set of parents when I joined the Bellarmine Program. Jim and Ruth taught me so much and absolutely changed my life for the better. When I got a National Championship ring it was the unqualified highlight of my life at the time. Years later, I know the true pinnacle was participation in a program that let me mature into a better person. For what more can anyone ask?"
