"I first joined the Mock Trial team at the insistence of my sister, Maria Doyle (Mock Trial Team Member), whose team desperately needed a last-minute witness for the National Tournament held in Des Moines, Iowa. A biology major, I was certain this experience would amount to nothing more for me than a favor for my big sister. How wrong I was! After the first round in Des Moines, I came down with Mock Trial fever and knew I wanted to return the next year as an attorney. I did return and enjoyed every minute of it, so much so that I eventually choose law – specifically litigation – for life. I have nothing but fond memories of Mock Trial, and Jim and Ruth are not only excellent teachers but also dear friends. Bellarmine has one of the best Mock Trial programs in the country, and I am very proud to be a part of it."
